The Working Group on Frontier & Emerging Markets focuses on the specific opportunities, characteristics, and challenges of impact investing in emerging and developing economies. Through exchange, peer-to-peer learning, and collaboration, the group aims to strengthen knowledge, develop practical approaches, and advance impact investing in FEM markets.

Short description of the working group

Leading impact fund providers and asset managers in the German-speaking region increasingly offer investment opportunities beyond traditional microfinance. These include investments in areas such as climate and energy, agriculture and food systems, healthcare, financial inclusion, and sustainable infrastructure.
The working group provides a platform for discussing market developments, investment approaches, practical challenges, and the role of impact investing in sustainable development across Frontier & Emerging Markets.
