Short description of the working group

Objective and focus

Impact measurement and management (IMM) enables investors to assess, manage, and communicate the social and environmental impact of investments. It helps ensure that impact considerations are embedded throughout the investment lifecycle — from investment strategy and due diligence to monitoring, reporting, and exit.

The working group aims to deepen understanding of different IMM methodologies and frameworks, support practical implementation, and contribute to the further development of impact measurement and management practices within the impact investing ecosystem.

Relevance for the industry and members

Impact investors seek to generate measurable social and environmental outcomes alongside financial returns. Demonstrating and managing impact in a credible and transparent way is therefore a central element of impact investing.

The working group provides a platform for exchange on practical challenges, methodological developments, regulatory expectations, and emerging market standards related to impact measurement and management.
